Miranda attended the University of North Carolina for her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and Health Sociology. She is currently attending the University of Southern California’s Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work and Keck School of Medicine and is on the path to becoming a licensed Clinical Social Worker and reproductive public health representative.

Miranda places importance on being a holistic therapist who focuses on client-centered and mind-body practices. Miranda utilizes her personal experiences with mental health and an empathetic approach to develop meaningful relationships with her clients. Years of personal experience in therapy have given Miranda insight into the importance of creating a safe space for clients and building a meaningful relationship with their therapist. Miranda seeks to provide clients with evidence-based therapies to heal trauma, develop coping strategies, manage depression and anxiety, work through life transitions, and build positive relationships. She explores topics such as self-care, sexual health, mindfulness, positive self-talk, and body image. Mindfulness is a great tool for clients of all ages to decrease anxiety.

She is interested in Somatic Therapy (mind-body), Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and overall providing trauma-informed and trauma-focused care. Miranda works with children, adults, and families.
